Book Month Challenge Day 23: Book You Tell People You’ve Read, But Really Haven’t Finished

This entry is part 23 of 31 in the series Book Month Challenge (2012)

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I have to admit I struggle a little through Jane Austen books. I’m not sure if it’s the long sentences or nineteenth century English or something else. I haven’t picked up Pride and Prejudice in a while, though. Maybe now that I’m older I would enjoy it. I don’t know. To be honest I struggle through a lot of classics – I guess I’m dumb that way – but I have made it to the end of other classics. Just not this one.

When I typed Pride and Prejudice in my search box to find it in good reads, the term “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” popped up. I clicked it, and look where it took me:

I wonder if this version would be better. Definitely more exciting, but much more gory!

What book do you tell people you’ve read but haven’t finished?

And here’s Karla’s book today.

I have never been a huge fan of these books either. I mean I like them…but usually I like the movie adaptation better! lol! I have been curious about the ‘zombie’ edition but have not read it yet either…it is interesting how that is becoming a big thing now…to change classics a little bit to make them more “interesting”. My mom is super upset b/c apparently they are now taking a lot of them and adding sex to make them more modern!
